Our public Christian witness...

Christian/ Profession/

As Christians,  we profess that God tells us in His Word what life is about.  This affords us meaning, purpose, conviction and a reference point from which to live the life He has given us.

True Christianity is defined by God's word. It is not subject to time, context or culture. Truth is not subject to the interpretation of the reader. The following 5 points have challenged, both past and present, the Christian Church. They are often termed the Five Points of Calvinism or T-U-L-I-P.

Faith in God is the result of knowing Him;  He has revealed all we need to know for this in His word.  This requires study and exercise of both heart and mind.

A number of significant bodies of work have been created by the church over time as "statements of faith".  These were created by man as teaching aids and arguments against threats and heresies to the church. They are however completely subservient to scripture and indeed kept consciously distinct and inferior to the Word of God.
